Bergmannstrassen Fest
We had an intentional late start before we headed out to walk over the flea market. The only thing I bought was a nice black fan. It will be hot today and tomorrow and we thought a fan would be a good idea. It cam with a print out of the "fan-language"! How interesting is that?
I never thought about that, but now it seems logical. In older days hidden languages were important for communication!
We ran some errands and dropped the things in the flat and went out again to get some breakfast. Qe went to the new place David recommended recently. Unfortunately the food did not impress us.
My omelette looked like and egg white omelette. Neil's scrambled eggs looked like my omelette! Both were served on some good looking but not tasty bread covered with hummous, which we both are not keen on.
It also was over priced. What a shame, because the staff was awfully nice and I would have loved to come back just because of them!
We got some water from Kaisers, visited Denise quickly then Oli and Katja texted that they were on the way.
We met them at Vanille and Marille then headed to the Bergmann Strassenfest, which was this year in Kreuzbergstrasse!
It was busy and we kept us refreshed with Caipirinhas, which luckily were not too strong.
We sat on the green and listened to bands and had a good time.
Katja and Oli left us around 11pm and we went to Turandot for a final beed and then for a late night slice of pizza.
It was a good day.
Tomorrow we are expecting 38 degrees!
Blipping the coffee table at "What a treat" showing that we were hiding from the sun.
