Sun over the Treshnish Isles
It was a bit touch and go whether we would leave or not today - the ferry usually does a couple of stops, en route to and from Tiree, but we knew they would only do one today. The piermaster told us that the problem was the swell down at the pier again, but a bit later in the day with the tide going out that should dampen the swell down again, so the boat went first to Tiree then Coll on the way back. It was very frustrating - it came right up to the pier, only for one of the ropes to break, so they had to go back out to sea, fix it, turn round and come back again. Fortunately for us it was second time lucky, and we managed to eventually get on the boat and away. Everyone was so laid back about it all - I guess they must be used to it!
This was taken from the boat, it wasn't the smoothest crossing (although not as bad as last weekend!) so I never did manage to get the horizon straight! But I liked the sun's rays over the island (Fladda? Lunga? Still not sure).
