Whether the weather be wet

The weather on Thursday night/Friday morning was foul - I hardly slept thanks to the wind howling all night. We were a bit worried, particularly after it took us two attempts to get onto the island, as to whether or not we'd be able to get off it on Saturday - the locals weren't optimistic, and we had already been told we could stay at the cottage longer if we needed to, and even had an invitation to a dinner-dance on Saturday! We, like I think a lot of the locals, spent much of Friday indoors checking out the live weather readings on the Isle of Coll website (if you're interested, the weather can be found at the bottom of the 'Coll' drop-down menu, second from left. The website is a great resource, it is designed and run by a local man who also works in the CalMac ferry office, it's a great source of information.
