Prom Pair

It feels like we've been gearing up to this evening for weeks. I can't imagine what it's going to be like by the time Poppy gets to go to prom.
Alice arrived with her parents at 6 and we sat in the garden and had a glass of champagne. Alice looked absolutely beautiful and she was delighted with her corsage (although I thought it looked a bit 'tired' by the time she left). Alf was looking gorgeous in his suit and they made a very lovely couple. D drove them off to prom at about 7 and  I'm currently waiting for him to get back so that we can go up to the brewery for open mic.
It's going to be a dry night for D as he's picking up and dropping off at several parties this evening.
I wont be waiting up...
