I needed a bit of fresh air to liven me up a bit this afternoon, so wandered over (or under I should say!) to the other side of the river, for a wet and windy walk.

I noticed a couple of trees had been cut down to just stumps sadly, maybe due to disease? I was very sad to see a tree being cut down yesterday opposite my house, which had been there for quite a few years. Apparently it's roots were rotting, but it was horrible to see it go completely. I thought the colour and patterns inside this trunk were quite interesting though, where this one had been chopped.

It just doesn't seem or 'look' like a Saturday today! More Sunday-ish I think?
