Hiding

This deer was nestled down in the strip of woods that is between the hayfield and the road. The Husband was well ahead of me on the path and he signaled me that there was a deer in the woods I should look at on my way by. She was sitting still hoping we'd just go away. Which we did - but not before I got this shot of her. The dogs seemed to be none the wiser - and Swee'pea was even off leash!

The extra: Our bluebirds are having a second go at it! They've made a new nest in the nest box, and now three eggs have been laid. I wonder if she'll lay another before she starts incubating them? Yay!!
