it's always difficult to have to work at someone's facility during the weekend. for you, there's a job to be done, and there's usually an urgent situation requiring you to be working the weekend away from home. you just want to sink your teeth into it, work the days away, and forget that weekends even exist. you've got an opportunity to get a lot accomplished, and you want to make sure that the job is done well.

or the other hand, those you are depending on for help (locals) are well aware that they are "working on the weekend". they've got wives/children/pets/friends only minutes away, wondering when their husband/father/master/buddy is going to clock out and come enjoy the fun to be had with the rest of the gang. they want to rush, finish as fast as possible, complain when anything additional is mentioned, and all around get away from you as fast as possible.

of course my boss has left this morning, homeward bound, leaving me with completion of the project, so i'm out of ally's at present.

at least you've got time for me fat tire :)
