Pineapple Broom Tree

This is one of the specimen trees in our neighbour's garden, which very conveniently hangs over our fence:-)  We were told it was a Pineapple Tree when we visited her garden a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was because the flowers look a bit like pineapples.  Not a bit of it!  It's because they smell like cooked pineapples:-)  It's official name is Cytisus battandieri, but PineappleTree is easier to remember.

A better day today, with some sunshine early on but soon followed by grey clouds.  Warm and with no rain, so not all bad:-)
