"It just all went too smoothly"

M's very true comment about the transition to our new internet package and the reason for my lack of punctuality with this blip. A seemingly seamless changeover then our broadband stopped dead at about 5.00pm last night.

Thirty minute call queues, being told conflicting things by different operators then being left to carry out a string of do it yourself broadband diagnostics with each successive exercise taking about an hour.

Called them again this morning, Saturday 29, to be told, "Ah yes my colleague needs to change a setting at our end then it will work"

Sore angry head removed from brick wall to take a few deep calming breaths.

Its working again but very slowly, as they say in Startrek "Its broadband Jum but not as we know it" but I'm assured it will come up to normal in ten days.

Anyway; yesterday the dogs got a wee stretch at Achaderry on a day when it never really got light. This is one of the wee lochans.
