Conditioning House

Grabbed a quick photo of this imposing and empty building while on my way to work on a dark damp morning. Another remnant of history of Bradford's industrious and important past in the wool industry.

Conditioning House is a grade II listed building, built in 1902 for the purpose of testing wool and textiles. Apparently nearly 70% of wool produced in the UK would have passed through here at some point.

This is very close to Midland Mills, also characterised by the large regimented windows.

Went to a blipmeet last night and it was great to catch up with Rachel, Peter, Bob and Wendy, and meet Jeanne for the first time (Happy 1000!!!)

The world was firmly set to rights in a proper alehouse in front of a lovely fire before talk turned to blip and what a lovely place it is.
