Batter Up!

It was a perfect day for a ballgame and a really nice family outing. Jon is the biggest baseball fan in the family and we all agreed to take him for a belated Father’s Day game. Even though the home team lost, it was one of the nicest days we’ve spent together since they all moved in. Na’iema loved the atmosphere and the French fries (crisps). We’ll definitely do it again this summer.

The ballpark is in what used to be the mill district of Manchester where all the factories were - woolen mills, leather mills, etc.  All the buildings have been remodeled and are now offices and classrooms for a couple of satellite campuses for the University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University.  In extras are some of what I believe are the housing units for the mill workers, now apartment buildings.  I love the brick against the blue sky.
