built by Wade's soldiers  in the eighteenth century and one of the two to withstand all subsequent floods, as it has a 20m drop from the centre of this arch to the river bed.
A wonderful day, sunny, hot and full of butterflies, Small Blues, Small Coppers (in extra with Thyme) Pearl bordered Fritilleries, Small Heaths and flowers appearing too. Great rampaging along the banks!
