Rustrel.

A lot of people have been to Roussillon which to be fair is probably the most picturesque and and accessible of the Ochre areas you can visit but there are other sites as well. Rustrel was an ochre mining  area and we walked around there today. It was incredibly hot dusty and tiring.

We're now in Roussillon and have been for a lovely meal. There were various celebrations going on for St Jean's day. Singing dancing and a tambourine band dressed in some sort of period costume. All very enjoyable in the warm Provençal evening.
