MIDSUMMER WATCH

Went to the city to while away an hour or two after dropping granddaughter off on route and bumped into the Watch. A solstice parade in blazing sunshine. Found a new cafe and read a little. Then Elvis appeared in his white polyester jumpsuit with high collar and silver sequins. I thought of capturing the moment then decided against it, as it didn’t seem appropriate because he looked so lost and some men started to laugh at him. He went off and sat on a bench. I think he was caught in a trap of his own making. I hope he’s okay.
