Secret yard
What a busy weekend so far. We met up with an old army pal of Rich's who he hasn't seen for years. He was in the lake district with his wife to be and we met up for a drink. We spent the evening chatting and laughing at their reminiscing of their army training days. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again at their wedding later this year.
We were up early this morning and drove to Whitby. Rich booked a cheeky little night away without the kids and Bill. (They have gone to his mum's for the weekend.) We have been coming to Whitby for the past 18 years. It is one of my favourite places to be. Once we arrived and filled up on coffee and cake we went exploring. We were on a mission to find the secret yard that has this bridge between two building. In all the years we've been coming we didn't even know it existed until a free months ago and by all accounts it's location is a secret and only a dedicated few find it's location. Well after a bit of wandering aimlessly around passageways we found it. Yay.
We have just booked into our air b&b. It's a lovely little flat in a beautiful house on West Cliffe and our host is very friendly ans welcoming. We are having a little rest here before we venture back out later to enjoy fish and chips and a quiet drink or two.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
