A sweet family
I planned to go to Bushy Park straight after breakfast this morning, but I was let down by my cleaning lady (yet again) who was meant to come in today, and did not, so instead I got stuck into a few household chores and by the time I got to Bushy Park it was very late morning. I enjoyed walking around taking photos of birds, particularly trying to get photos of birds in flight which I need for my photography group 'homework'.
I watched this little swan family for quite a while, and I think it is the family that Sue mentioned in her blip as the mother was on her own with her three little cygnets (the dad was found dead in the bracken). They were being watched over by a heron (see extra) who sat on the edge of the bank keeping an eye on their activities.
Thomas went back to school as he was performing in a lunch time piano recital, and so it has been a quiet day.
I spent the afternoon going through all the online adverts for cleaners...I think I need to find a new cleaner as I have been let down so many times by my current cleaner.
I found out today that we will be visiting the new puppy on the 7th July, so I presume I will know then which one is ours. They are all starting to open their eyes now and are getting wonderfully chubby!
