The Dickin Medal

U3A meeting this morning, with an interesting talk about animal valour. It was first awarded during the 2nd World War and about 50% of the awards went to pigeons.

Also to one cat, which was involved in the Yangtze incident in 1949. The ships cat stopped the rats eating the limited food supplies on HMS Amethyst.

Spent time this afternoon working on ‘the forms’, almost there....thank goodness:0(
