Really enjoyed this audio book whilst driving.
It’s based on two strong female Red Cross nurses defying danger and social & cultural conventions in an occupied Crete during the SSW, to save the lives of friend and foe alike.
Full of examples of fearless determination and inner strength.
Read somewhere that it’s based on true events.
I kept disappearing on car journeys just to just to listen to the next track.
Next audio is a revisit to Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier.
