Descending cautiously

The steps on this ferry are really steep, so it's a good idea to be cautious going in either direction.
An early morning trip to Duncan then I drove over the Malahat to Sydney. I thought about the commutes I did for many years, first driving over the Malahat to Duncan before we moved here, then taking the ferry to Duncan. The ferry trip took a bit more time but was less stressful because there was less traffic. Plenty of accidents on the Malahat stretch of the highway. I wondered how I was able to do those commutes for so long. Stamina - plus I did have a rewarding, if challenging, job.
