Relaxed

It rained in the night - what a beautiful sound; unfortunately, doesn't get to the other side of the Alentejo...

Went to Portinho do Canal, a fishing harbour a couple of kilometres north of Milfontes. Began as a natural harbour, but has now been improved so it can be used year round. The waves were slapping into the narrow entrance, rocks sticking out everywhere, not something I'd want to attempt, see first extra.

Wandered round the fishing huts, three fishermen were grilling sardines. Out in the sea, a group of lads from Lisbon were surfing, again, not something I'd be tempted to do there. The lad to the right, and on wall in main picture, was obviously a lookout in case they got into trouble.

Gratefuls:
- the ingenuity of the people who made that harbour
- for those who risk their lives so we can enjoy seafood
- cooler weather, and that rain still exists, even if not where we live!
