Signs of the time

Another early morning, but thankfully a good nights sleep preceded it.

An early delivery from the landscapers first thing...the guys arrived shortly afterwards. Things are coming on, already the site is cleared and the new shape has emerged, the base is down too!

I headed into Manchester for a dental check up, left home at 9.30 and only just made my 10.45 appointment! Happily, a clean bill of health, so straight out and on with the shopping for holiday related items.

Mission completed, I treated myself to a coffee and a goats cheese salad for lunch in the little Cathedral Cafe......and took time out for a little photography too, using one of two lens a friend has kindly lent me for our cruise.

I am not usually one for street photography, but I really enjoyed it today, using my new smaller camera, it felt somehow less intrusive.

It has been pleasantly warm and dry, 20 degrees in thr city centre, so didnt need a coat, hooray!!!

Peppered mackerel, chilli prawns with a mixed salad, with Waldorf salad and hard boiled egg for dinner.......but not sure Im going to claw back the gain from my birthday celebrations, come tomorrows weigh in :-/
