Hip Hip Hooray.......

well loads more than three cheers actually!!

Tonight was granddaughter Emily's cheerleading end of season Presentation night. All of Gemstones troops performed one of their routines, before their leader Lydia, who is so good with all the girls, whose competitive ages range from 7 to 14, took to the microphone to heap praise on them all, and present some thankyous, then certificates, medals and trophies!

Lydia is pretty much a youngster herself, only 22/23 I think, she holds down a full time job, as well as having set up Gemstone Cheer & Dance gym in 2016. In all she has 6 dance troops, circa 40 members, she choreographs all their routines, organises the classes, the competitions, the costumes, she even dances with the eldest group, she works so hard..... and actually loves what she does, as you can see from her expression in the extra, with the little ones!!

My blip is of Emily, rocking her new fringe, receiving her award from Lydia.

In other news the prep work for our summerhouse is finally getting under way come Monday......oh, and I gained 2lbs over my birthday celebrations :-/ and they've not quite finished yet, a girlfriends get together next Thursday, before we head off for our cruise of course :-)
