Victory Dinner

We had dinner on HMS Victory this evening with Gary and Roxanne, as Gary is a member of the Nautical Research Society (whose ‘do’ it was) and we were his guests. It’s actually the second time he’s taken us and it was just as good the second time around. Great food and company in rather wonderful surroundings.

This 25 ft statue is called Embracing Peace and is the European replica of the one in Times Square, New York. This one went on a European tour before arriving in Portsmouth for the D-Day celebrations and will be at the Historic Dockyard for 12 months.
