Wood Pigeon

It was a rather wet park run this morning, for the first time since we've been doing it, but we both improved on last week's times; it really is a very friendly event and we're finding that even more people we know from the area are turning up to do it.

We kept to our Saturday routine of cycling up to the outdoor pool for a swim to warm down then back home for bacon rolls and a browse of the newspapers.

Our bird feeder is proving so popular these days that one top up a day is not enough. This wood pigeon was sitting waiting patiently to sweep up the spillage underneath once the sparrows had finished.

Watched a bit of the Women's World Cup this afternoon. Another entertaining game.
