Wide Wednesday in Prague
Most of my commentary from yesterday's Blip got lost in publishing and I edited it but forgot to press save changes so gave up. Maree's husband is in Prague for a seminar so Maree and i have been let loose to wreak havoc on Prague, one of my favourite cities. We stayed away from the shops today and started with a fabulous breakfast in the old town. We then caught a tram to the Dancing House where we had a cocktail on the rooftop bar of the Fred and Ginger restaurant. I introduced Maree to the delights of Hugo on a hot summer's day - Prosecco, elderflower, soda, mint, lime - and we enjoyed the best one so far overlooking Prague.
We then caught the funicular railway up to the beautiful gardens by the observatory on the hill. The rose garden is magnificent (see extra). We caught the funicular back down then made our way to our friends' hotel where David was waiting, his seminar over. We had a parting drink then they caught a taxi to the airport to continue their trip and I caught the train back to Austria.
This photo is a pano of the view from the Fred and Ginger bar for Wide Wednesday. Thanks to Freyjad for hosting.
