Mince pies

The girls made some mince pies to take to dinner at Juliette's. Rubie was so patient with Chickpea, who was absolutely loving every minute! They stayed like this for ages after the pies were in the oven, making lots of other things with the dough.

Dinner was a lovely, quiet affair at Juliette's with Ady and Al, too. You can tell how often we have fancy dinners by Chickpea's response when Ady jokingly asked her what he was supposed to do with his napkin. Chickpea said it was for playing peekaboo so they both poked eye holes in their napkins and played a good game of peekaboo!

When Chickpea opened the last advent calendar door today there was a note inside. It said "Look outside Granny's back door (that led to an atrium)." There was a gift for Daddy and a note that said to check under the sofa. She found another and ended up finding presents for everyone until finally finding one for herself and a kinder egg which boy elf was holding (and considering having a nibble of I think). We all opened our presents to find new jammies for Christmas eve night! Thank you elves!
