Tax Return

As i'm not as economically active as I once was my tax return should, in theory be a simpler affair.  Still took me most of today to gather the information and navigate the HMRC system.   Still more of less done, just a bit of checking and should get it away this week.  

Went down the beach a couple of times today - very cold with a front coming in the North Berwick harbour gate is closed and there won't be any rowing taking place for at least the next couple of days.   I took the chance to cut the grass early before the rain arrives and watched my attentive blackbird gathering food for her youngsters (see grainy unfocused extra).  I think they are nesting behind the shed but she is super cautious - her call to the young is a joy to the ears.  We also have new born calves at the top field - a blip waiting to be aired.  

Giant scabious flowering at present - quite interesting plant for a few short days of what is supposed to be the Scottish summer.
