night at the Paint Mines

Back in January, my friend and I signed up for a night sky photo workshop in June. The class of 8 meets with two instructors in a county park which is usually closed at night, from 10 pm to sunrise the next day. What could go wrong? Well, I'm still trying to get over the cold my grandsons gave me, a cold front came through dropping the temps, and the night sky was cloudy. But the instructors made it great fun with light painting, and I lasted until 2:30 am before heading home.
The clock on my camera is off by an hour, so this was actually taken at 11:40 pm on June 9. A couple hours later the clouds broke so some stars were visible. I will post that for June 10.
