Pottering

This morning we popped up to Liss Forest to clean the house and do the garden. A good opportunity to get Merlin a little more familiar with the house there and travelling in the car on the back seat wearing his harness (as he doesn’t like being in the boot).

Afterwards we had a walk along the old military railway which is surrounded by beautiful peaceful woodland. We remembered that the troops travelling to the coast to take part in D-Day would have travelled on this line.

This afternoon there has been more gardening and tidying indoors. A phone call to catchup with my sister, a trip to the allotment to pick salad leaves, washing Merlin’s (five!) blankets and a dog walk. It’s been satisfying to get some jobs done.
