Kings Cross before Christmas

East Coast is the re-nationalised Train Operating Company that operates the ECML from London to York, Leeds, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

East Coast's fleet consists of InterCity 125s and InterCity 225s, respectively of diesel sets with Mark 3 carriages and electric sets. with Mark 4 carriages.

The 125s date originally from 1975 when they revolutionised inter-city travel on BR. The 225s dates from 1990 and the ECML electrification.
