Calcaria

Travelled to Tadcaster (Roman name Calcaria) to help on the start of today’s Orienteering event. A quick check of the forecast revealed it would be wet! Fortunately full waterproofs kept us dry as heavy showers punctuated our stint on the start.

The church is St. Mary’s and was where my Mum and Dad were married. Mum grew up in Tadcaster and I remember visiting my Grandparents and Great Aunts and Uncles who were associated with the brewing industry as a child.
