I took Jet for a walk to the ‘big field’ where the flood works are located. Many years ago when we first moved here there was a Heronry in this valley. However overtime they disappeared. The planting that has taken place along with slowing the runoff (all connected with the flood works) is now having an effect.

Just as we approached this Heron took flight. I thought I had lost track of it but it was seeking shelter in the tree tops. Glad I got a shot away as it took flight again.

Rather heavy rain arrived this afternoon and hope it clears for the weekend. Have a good weekend everyone
