Thick-legged flower beetle on Poppy

In between the downpours it was quite nice in the garden. I tried a few more multiple exposures, but frankly I really liked yesterday's so much the rest palled into obscurity. 

(I'm quite annoyed with myself that I had got the camera set to a low jpeg resolution yesterday, because I'm very tempted to print the shot out large, and the full resolution RAW would have been useful. Hey ho.)

Anyhow, in one of the hundreds of short lived poppies in the garden was this fellow. He's a thick-legged flower beetle (Oedemera nobilis) and the Sun catches him beautifully.

Blipmeet in Bristol tomorrow (see Community post) and I look forward to seeing many of you there, even if it keeps raining. Which it won't.
