I have a picture.... Pinned to my wall...
Can you can't knock a bokeh shot; not at this time of year.
One year at Christmas, Si and I were working in Fife.... The Restaurants were closed Christmas Day and Boxing day and we headed back to Troon for Christmas with me mam, being as she was all alone.
We arrived at the house, and stood aghast as we realised that she had no decorations up, let alone had a tree.
She arrived home from work to find us there, looked at our desolate faces, and decided positive action was required.
And that was why, at 6.30 on Christmas Eve 1988, you would find our little Ford Fiesta, parked up on the kerb outside the Bank in town while mum let herself in, unplugged the tree from the service area, and came running back outside with it, threw it in the back of the car; and off we drove.
And on Boxing Day, we did the same in reverse.
And we never even contemplated the money.
