Honey Locust

Today's the day ……………………. to plant a tree

We planted quite a few new trees in the garden in the early spring - and this one has recently burst into life.

It's a Honey Locust - a native of North America - but hopefully it will do well here.  According to the label it has 'superb golden foliage and a flash of seedpods in the summer'  so that sounds interesting. 

Its posh name is Gleditsia triacantos 'Sunburst' and it seems to be living up to that already ……………………...
