Camping Expedition!

I pleased to report that the camping trip to the back garden was a success in that Merlin loved it and was a good boy.  As soon as we put his bed into the tent he sat down on it and went to sleep and slept very still and quietly all night.  Here he is on Sunday morning wondering why he can't still get into the tent.

The trip had nearly had to be abandoned when a near-by neighbour decided to have a party with load music on Saturday evening but we decided to sit/sleep it out in the tent!  

It was incredible how much closer I felt to nature out in the garden.  The milky way in the night sky was stunning as it is really very dark here, then the dawn chorus which sounds loud even when inside was deafening!  Birds of all sorts of varieties were calling and singing their hearts out.

We decided that camping in the garden was really rather good - the benefits of being outside but with the facilities of the house on our doorstep!
