Trip to Edinburgh
For a change, I didn't leave packing until the last moment so the morning was chilled. The office was dead, which is perfect for writing. I got loads done!
The plan was to have lunch at work before I travelled up to Edinburgh. Astoundingly, the veggie choice was spaghetti and cheese (a la macaroni and cheese). Does the cook have no shame?I do pride myself on being flexible and non-dogmatic but this was culinary shamefulness! The chef needs a serious word with himself.
The trip to Piccadilly was a challenge as I was on my Brompton with a full 90 litre rucksack....corners were taken very gingerly! Platform 14 was actually quiet for a change so the train embarkation was stress free. After my lunch, I settled into my book and was in Edinburgh before I knew it. Rosemary was at the station to welcome me, which I always like! Even better as she was my human mule, carrying the rucksack on the bus, whilst I whizzed down to Trinity on the bike.
Very chilled evening with me taking a multiple slow exposure of the Xmas tree!
