Marching

Spent the whole day with H&L. They wanted to ‘see Edinburgh’ so came up with a route that took them through pretty much everywhere in the city except down to Stockbridge!
We did 21,000 steps and they seemed to really enjoy everything. We stopped regularly for snacks and treats...from icecream to cocktails via the farmers market and lots of lanes and steps.
Ended up with more seafood in my local Sardinian restaurant then I slumped down for another Line of Duty early episode before bed.
This is such a beautiful city even when the sun doesn’t fully cooperate, but at least it wasn’t too hot to walk as it sounds like it was down south, and it’s good to see the place through the eyes of people new to it again
