Time to Talk

As it was such a sunny evening, after dinner we went to Prinsted for a walk next to the sea.  The views out across the water and the boats was stunning and in the fields next to the sea we saw flocks of linnets and goldfinches - such a treat as they are two of my favourite birds.  The peace was wonderful. There were just a few other dog walkers out, one man had a dog called Merlin so we stopped and chatted to him a bit about the beauty of the coast here and our naughty dogs called Merlin!  As we walked back we saw a rainbow in the sky (see Extra) - it must have been created by the sunlight shining on the moisture in the clouds.

Earlier today I came across a lovely little plant nursery by chance.  Its based the local Buddhist centre and had an open day - hence my discovering it.  It was a treasure trove of vegetables, herbs and perennial plants all at very good value 50p-£3.  The man there was very helpful and clearly loved plants.  I felt a bit sad for him as it didn't sound as if he'd had many visitors.  I came away with two tomato plants, a cayenne pepper plant and a basil.  I could have got many more but thought I would pop back another time.

A sad week as we heard our colleague died on Tuesday morning.
