Thank you so much for all the love for the little window, that really cheered me up. 
More visits to the eye specialist - more drops, until I feel pretty waterlogged but the eye is now definitely improving and the scabby rash has settled - nice. More visits to the doc who pronounced me very run down and prescribed cream , ice cream and thick yogurt to build me up! Not a diet she normally recommended she confessed. I am now up and wafting rather weakly though I have had a nice wander around the garden which is rampant after four days of rain and mizzle. The chive plant is awash with rather gorgeous flowers and thick with bees. Unfortunately the polytunnel has an infestation of blackfly - hate it when that happens. Everything will have to come out I fear.
