Thursday: Go Raptors!

So.....I really don't like selfies. Nor do I like posting pictures of myself but I've done it two days in a row......I'll explain why shortly.

We had a meeting of our senior leadership team this morning, followed by media training this afternoon. That's always a weird thing - it was filmed, but you always see yourself so differently than the camera sees you.

My colleagues and I had dinner together tonight and then, at the suggestion of my Big Boss, we went for karaoke. I've done it before a few times, particularly in China, so I was sceptical but, after a wary start, I had a blast! My notable songs were 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin'' and 'Que Sera Sera' but my standout numbers were 'The Whole Of The Moon' and the Jay-Z part of 'Empire State of Mind' (I was particularly proud of that one because rapping is hard!).

Anyway, this shot - it was the best night ever to be in Toronto. The Raptors have advanced to the NBA finals as the first Canadian team ever to do so. Today they won their first game (it's the best of seven) and the atmosphere was absolutely electric! Cars honking, people celebrating - it was incredible. And, together with my colleagues, I was downtown at Yonge and Dundas (after midnight, but I won't tell the Blip folks if you don't) to see everyone at their most celebratory!

I'm not really a sports fan but you can't be immune to an atmosphere like this!
