David Lammy
The Hay Festival is a chance to see and hear many different types of people speak. This morning I watched First Edition – Marcus Brigstocke, Rachel Parris, Andre Vincent and Stephanie Merritt satirising reports and articles in the morning's papers. Cracking!
This afternoon I went to David Lammy''s talk about New Tribalism; it was very interesting and again gave me hope for the future – of the country, the electorate and the politics. But we have a lot of work to do . . .
And this afternoon I watched a visitor having a go at a foot-operated lathe in the Ruskin Mill Trust, an organisation set up to help younger people with learning disabilities of all sorts.
