On the First day of Christmas

I thought I saw a partridge near the pear tree...

Christmas Day traditions start with random events that are subsequently brought to mind and re enacted year after year.

We have two traditions:
1. Party popper eyes - shown here - and may I just add - only use expended party poppers that have stopped smoking. This activity is not suitable for party poopers.

2. When serving the Christmas pudding we sing - to the tune of 'Here we go' - 'Pass it round, pass it round, pass it round...' the pudding plates are passed faster and faster in a clockwise direction, until someone changes the words to 'Pass it back, pass it back, pass it back ' and the direction of the plate passing changes.

Sounds like you need to be there, I hear you saying - and be under the affluence of inkerhol (I hear you thinking) .....

And of course you'd be right.

I hope you all had an equally splendid Christmas Day.
