Nina

I managed to go for a walk so early this morning that there was sunshine available even if it was 4°. Sunshine is such a mood booster, but it was short lived and by mid morning we had yet more rain and goodness it felt and looked more like January with the dismal weather and the cold. I was so happy to meet a gathering of neighbours for a bit of fika.

There is more obsessional hat knitting on the go with one for Anna in Elgin on the needles. Nina in Glasgow is kindly modelling the second Shetland Wool Week one I’ve completed after saying I didn’t want to knit any more sheep after the first one.

We have the Meadows Festival over the railings this weekend and with previous experience of past washouts and looking at the weather forecast, this one will be no exception. It’s hard to be in touch with my optimistic genes when I’m cold and looking out at rain.
