Day Of Days

Everything over the preceding weeks has been building towards this time on this day.
The routine varies very little, adults up around 8:00, (the children were up around 5:00 but went back to bed), a light breakfast and coffee to start the day.
Clare and Mark take the dogs for a walk around the castle, Sam and Josh play whilst I prepare lunch.
We eat around 1:00, the table is cleared, dishes done and the table relaid with 'smally' eats and nibbles.
We then head for the lounge where the gifts are given out, today the children's main gifts meant that they both headed off to their rooms to set them up/play. The adults then slump in the chairs/settee.
We can nibble and eat for the rest of the day.
It's a great family day and I love it.
