British Weather
On Boxing Day and New Years Day we traditionally go surfing. On New Years Day we shall be about 150 miles from the coast so today we gave it our best shot. Sadly it was not to be, 45mph onshore winds, 11C, surf break 25m off shore made it impossible. It's always a clue when there is nobody else in the water.
We watched for a while, mostly people walking on the beach, interesting to note that as the tide came in most of them walked up close to the cliffs where there had recently been land slides!
Lunch in the Sandbar restaurant looking out over the windswept beach was better than expected.
We drove home via the inevitable stop at ASDA for batteries and have since watched;
Hugo = Thoroughly Enjoyed
Welsh Lions Legends = Very Good
Alice In Wonderland = Great
We are now watching the second part of Lord of the Rings, work tomorrow, short staffed, I doubt I'll be up for the end of it.
