Edgartown Light

Today, we dropped Mabel off to stay with our dog walker for a few days while we took the ferry from Woods Hole on Cape Cod to Martha's Vineyard to celebrate Mr. W's birthday.  We are staying at a beautiful hotel right on the water, and this is the view from their wonderful, old-fashioned covered porch where we sat and sipped a reviving gin & tonic after we'd checked in.  That's the Edgartown Light, and a suitably patriotic sailboat which just happened to be in the right place at the right time!  Extra shows the lighthouse off Woods Hole, taken from the ferry.
