Figs!

After lazing about for most of the day I thought I'd better head up to the allotment and cut the jungle-like grass. Was doing some general tidying up first when I noticed the fig tree - it's got 9 baby figs! They probably won't all develop but all the same I'm seriously impressed! Seems to thrive on neglect.
Unfortunately not much else is thriving apart from the spuds. I've got a handful of spinach and rocket seedlings, a couple of beetroot and a solitary lettuce. I suspect snail attacks are to blame, just wish they'd attack the weeds instead. Will have to head back to finish the strimming if the rain stays away, both batteries were spent when I was only half done. That grass was seriously long.
