A moments respite!

The chaos of the morning has subsided momentarilly so I thought that I would take a moment to have a wee cuppa and compose my Christmas day blip! This tea was a gift to myself. I ordinarilly buy the standard blend but thought that I would push the boat out and treat myself to Anji Bai Cha, a high mountain tea from the Zhejiang province. It is absolutely lovely!

Went out for a 7 and a half mile run this morning. Headed out at 0530 to ensure that I was back in plenty of time to watch the girls open their presents. Turns out the girls were sleepier than I thought as they didn't get up well after I was back home. The most amazing thing about being up early was that I saw my first car 4 miles into my run and only saw 2 more for the rest of my run. I was running on main roads so this was great. I was tempted to take a run up the Wilderness Brae as, just like in the opening sequence of 28 days later, there was nobody about but decided against it.
