Buddha

A trip to Sandringham House today - we have season tickets for the gardens, and are getting our money's worth!  We got there before the Bank Holiday weekend crowds, and had a really lovely walk in the sunshine, stopping to play about with taking photos.  This is a great favourite - the brass Buddha which was a gift from China.  Apparently, it's lucky to rub his tummy, which is why it's so worn!

We upgraded our tickets to visit the house this time - a first for both of us.  Although neither of us are very fond of stately homes as a rule, this one has a lovely atmosphere, and the room guides were very friendly and informative.  

Had lunch in the Stables tea room - appropriately enough, a Coronation Chicken sandwich!
